Milford & District Resource Ltd (formerly IRD) was formed in 1994 and is a limited company by guarantee with a community-based board of directors.

The organisation was known as IRD Milford Ltd from its inception but because of the qualifying requirement for the Social Economy Programme the organisation was required to form a new legal entity in 2002 - Milford & District Resource Ltd (MDR).

MDR’s Mission Statement:

“To develop Milford as a town with a tangible and vibrant sense of community and social involvement and which makes full utilisation of its human potential and economic resources.”
