Club 3km Handicap
The Annual Milford AC 3km Handicap will take place on Wednesday 28th December, starting at 1:00pm. Registration will be at the clubhouse from 12pm. Cost is €5.00. Presentation and refreshments will take place in The Traveller’s Inn, Milford afterwards. The race is open to athletes outside the club also. Parents are asked to note, it is strictly only for children aged over 14 years old to comply with Athletics Ireland rules.
Club handicaps are popular end of year races around the country where there is an element of fun combined with competitive running. Afterwards the handicapper can be then regaled with tales of woe but all in the spirit of the event. Athletes are reminded to record their own overall time as individual times will not be recorded on the day.
Boxing Day Races
The Cranford AC and Finn Valley AC annual Boxing Day races will also give athletes an opportunity to run off the Christmas excess.
As 2016 draws to a close, another successful year has been recorded by the club, both in terms of athletic achievement, and the numbers taking part in senior, masters and juvenile categories.
In closing the year, the club wish to thank all who have contributed in any way to the continued success of the club over the past year, in particular the many voluntary helpers at various events in 2016, to the various sponsors, primarily Marine Harvest, Fanad, and the Mulroy Woods Hotel. To all media outlets, in particular, the Tirconaill Tribune, and Francis Diver.
The club extend a safe and peaceful Christmas to all, and a Happy and successful New Year.
