Breathtaking documentary will tell the unique story of Glenveagh National Park and its last private owner

Viewers around the country will be treated to a breathtaking documentary on Glenveagh National Park tomorrow.

Entitled 'Henry McIlhenny: Master of Glenveagh', the documentary will tell the story of the last private owner of the Glenveagh Estate.


McIlhenny, from Philadelphia, purchased the estate in 1937 before leaving it to the nation in 1983. The gardens and castle were then opened as a national park.

The documetary will air tomorrow 10:15pm - 11:10pm RTÉ One.
